Therapeutically targeting essential metabolites to improve immunometabolism manipulation after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma

چکیده
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most prevalent primary liver malignancy worldwide and associated with a poor prognosis. Sophisticated molecular mechanisms biological characteristics need to be explored gain better understanding of HCC. The role metabolites in cancer immunometabolism has been widely recognized as hallmark tumor microenvironment (TME). Recent studies have focused on that are derived from carbohydrate, lipid, protein metabolism, because alterations these may contribute HCC progression, ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury during transplantation (LT), post-LT rejection. Immune cells play central duration IR or They shape immune responses through metabolite modifications by engaging complex crosstalk cells. A growing number publications suggest cell functions TME closely linked metabolic changes. In this review, we summarize recent findings metabolism relate development, injury, Our aberrant targeting based regulatory pathways provide novel strategy enhance manipulation reprogramming metabolism.

Thrombosis after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma
The influence of thrombosis on the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after liver transplantation (LT) and the role of the commonest inherited thrombophilia abnormalities factor V Leiden and prothrombin G20210A in the development of thrombosis are unknown. We investigated a cohort of patients who underwent LT for HCC with the aim to estimate the incidence rate (IR) of thr...
متن کاملDe novo Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Liver Transplantation
Liver transplantation is the definitive therapy for patients with advanced liver disease and its complications. Patients who are transplanted with a diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are at risk of recurrent cancer, and these patients are monitored on a regular basis for recurrence. In contrast, de novo HCC following liver transplantation is a very rare complication, and recipients wi...
متن کاملRecurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma after liver transplantation.
Outcome after liver transplantation (OLT) clearly depends on recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). After recurrence, patient outcome will depend on the time and site of appearance. The aim of this study was to analyze the therapeutic implications of tumor recurrence behavior. From October 1988 to December 2005, 685 patients received OLT, including 202 due to HCC (32%). We analyzed 28 re...
متن کاملLiver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma.
Liver transplantation has become the best option in patients with decompensated cirrhosis and a small hepatocellular carcinoma. Indeed, because of the severity of cirrhosis, resection is usually impossible and in addition, transplantation provides survival rates close to those obtained in cirrhotic patients without malignancy (70 to 80% 3-year survival rate). In patients with a small hepatocell...
متن کاملLiver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma.
In patients with cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) offers hope for cure of both the complicating HCC and the underlying chronic liver disease. Excellent 5 year survival has been reported when the restrictive Milan criteria are used to select transplant candidates. Alternative recommendations have recently been proposed by groups at University o...
